Overview

The DISK by Able Brewing is a stainless steel filter designed to be used with the Aerobie AeroPress®. Created as a reusable alternative to paper filters, the metal DISK offers a clean, yet more nuanced cup. For a reusable AeroPress filter with even smaller holes, check out the DISK-Fine.

Brand

Able Brewing is the creation of some upcoming coffee professionals from Portland, Oregon who are seeking to simplify and improve coffee brewing devices. Their creations aspire for increased sustainability through creating reusable products and clean tasting cups of coffee. To date, the company has created two stainless steel filters. The first filter is the Able Disk, a stainless steel filter produced for the Aeropress. The second is the Able Kone, a stainless filter for Chemex pour over brewers. These stainless coffee filters not only cut down on paper waste, but also remove the paper taste from the brewing equation, producing a clean tasting, full-bodied cup.

Hario has combined their famous V60 brewer with a decanter and plastic diffuser to assure that the coffee is quickly cooled by hitting ice immediately after the brewing process. This quick heat transition is important in conserving the flavor of the coffee. The Fretta comes with 10 size 02 paper filters. We recommend that you purchase extra filters as well.
