Prima Coffee's Siphon Brewing Guide and Yama Siphon Review
Over the past couple of years I've experimented with many different brewing methods. The one brewing method that captivated me when introduced to it and the one which I keep running back to when I want to be able to count on a good cup of coffee is the Siphon. The Siphon is a somewhat rare and slightly intimidating brewing device. As for rare, we've put together a review on the siphon which should help you become more familiar with this brewing device. In order to take away the intimidation factor, we've also compiled a Siphon Brewing Guide for those wanting some direction on how to brew with what is in my opinion the best manual brewer out there.

Tampers are as diverse as the baristas who use them. Our new tamper meets the needs of almost any barista, whether professionally trained or newly beginning. With its durable aluminum handle and wide, smooth top, the tamper is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably into the palm unlike other overly rounded handles which can press a little too tightly into the hand of the barista, or flat topped handles which can become uncomfortable after extended use.
The base of the Prima tamper is of a hefty 304 stainless steel design. This solid steel base combined with the light, detachable aluminum handle adds balanced weight to the tamper which helps aid the barista in providing an even tamp, shot after shot. -
The Fretta Iced Coffee Brewer is Hario's answer to brewing the perfect cup of iced coffee. Hario has combined their famous V60 brewer with a decanter and plastic diffuser to assure that the coffee is quickly cooled by hitting ice immediately after the brewing process. This quick heat transition is important in conserving the flavor of the coffee. The Fretta comes with 10 size 02 paper filters. We recommend that you purchase extra filters as well. To do this select filters as an add-on from the options on the right or go to our Hario 02 filter listing. Also recommend is a pouring kettle. We offer both the Hario Buono Kettle as well as the Kalita Wave Pot Kettle in the drop-down menu on the right.

Compak is a company dedicated to quality and craft. Their newest endeavor is a line of espresso grinders that raises the bar on control and efficiency. Aptly named "Fresh" for its innovative design and functionality, these grinders were created from conversations with baristas around the world and from the experience of a company that has been around for over 50 years. The K-10 Fresh offers a number of innovative features including: the ability to pre-set the the dosing time for a single and double shot to within a tenth of a second, manual push-button doser that keeps time of amount dosed on the digital display, and a completely new dosing system, electronics and control system. Also, the electronic display shows the selected grinding point, a configurable warning to change the burrs, promotional message with your logo, shot counter, and multi-language display.

hello, I'm curious if this infusion instrument can be used also for
creating different alcoholic infusions. For example: in the bottom
recipient to put alcohol instead of water, and instead of coffee to use
different kinds of tea and condiments?
What an intriguing questions! Without much experience with making cocktails and the like, I'd say the siphon should work just fine for that application. The trick will be keeping the heat down, as alcohol boils at a lower temperature than water. If you decide to pick one up, adding the butane burner will be especially important for your use. The siphon comes with an alcohol burner, but you'll need the extra control granted by the butane burner in order to keep the heat low enough. Does that make sense?
