Overview

The french press is probably the most popular and widely recognizable manual brewing method today. For decades, folks have been using the french press to attain a cup with a heavier body and allowance of more of the coffee’s natural oils. The french press is a fairly simple, yet elegant and classic way to make coffee for an individual, or a group of friends. We’ve created this bundle along with a burr hand grinder for those wanting an optimal and fresh cup, day after day!

As a default option, we've paired our most popular size Chambord French Press, the 8 Cup (1L or 34oz.) with the Hario Skerton Hand Grinder. If you prefer a different size, you may choose any of the following by clicking "Available Options" above: 3 Cup (12 oz), 4 Cup (17oz), or 12 Cup (51oz). In addition, if you wish to switch out the Skerton for the Mini Mill Slim Hand Grinder, we've provided that in the options above as well.

Features of Bodum French Press:

  • Simple, low-maintenance brewing process: pour water just off the boil onto the coffee, put on the lid, let it sit for 4 minutes, press, and serve!
  • Unlike paper filters, the metal filter allows the natural coffee oils to make their way into your cup.
  • Chambord model features stainless steel design with a heat resistant Borosilicate glass (special glass that can handle high temperatures) beaker.

Features of Hario Skerton Grinder:

  • A hand grinder which features a ceramic burr set, one of the most coveted grinder features available..
  • The grind size can be manually adjusted by removing the top nut and and washer and turning clockwise for finer or counter-clockwise for coarser.
Brand
Founded in Copenhagen in 1944, Bodum, Inc. is the largest and most well-known manufacturer of French Presses in the world. The French Presses produced by Bodum are known for their style, simplicity, and durability which, in large part, is thanks to their usage of borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass gives the Bodum French Press the ability to withstand extreme temperature changes that would normally crack or shatter regular glass. This attention to detail combined with stylish simplicity is what makes the Bodum French Press one of the most popular manual brewing methods around.
