We are very excited to offer the first electric pouring kettle available in the United States! Bonavita's Electric Pouring Kettle is the solution for manual pour-over coffee brewers who don't have another heat source nearby. The Bonavita kettle features a gooseneck spout and brushed stainless steel design, along with a capacity of one liter, which is more than enough for even a large Chemex brew. At only four minutes to boil a liter of water, the heat up time is very short. You no longer have to deal with heat loss when transferring hot water from your electric kettle to your pouring kettle. And you don't have to spend tons of money on two kettles for pour-over brewing; the Bonavita electric kettle provides you with two kettles in one at a very affordable price! The Bonavita is a great choice for those new to manual home coffee brewing or those looking for a good kettle to travel with.

Features:

  • 1-liter (33.8 ounces) capacity
  • 360-degree cordless design
  • Brushed stainless steel finish
  • Auto-off
  • Strix controller
  • 2-year warranty
  • AC 120V / 60 Hz / 1000W

Bonavita

Bonavita is a newcomer to the specialty coffee scene in the U.S., but their products will by no means let them go unnoticed for long. Bonavita's first product offerings fill a much needed gap in affordable specialty coffee brewing gear for the home. It is because of both the quality and affordability of Bonavita's products that we are bringing in two completely new products for our coffee loving customers. The first of these is Prima Coffee Equipment's first ever offered automatic home coffee brewing machine. While there are a couple of brewers on the market that could stand up to our quality standards for a home brewer, they were too expensive. Bonavita's automated coffee brewers offer the same quality of the more expensive brewers at a fraction of the cost. The second unprecedented product offering from Bonavita is their electric pour over brewing kettle. With the indefinite delay of the electric Hario Buono Kettle, the Bonavita Electric Gooseneck Stainless Kettle is the first of its kind. Like the automated coffee brewer, this pour-over kettle is cheaper than other pour-over or electric hot water kettles. We're extremely excited about these new products and look forward to more from Bonavita.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product I've had this for about a year now and it has served me well! For the price, it does exactly what it says it does and what I need it to. It heats water quickly, it's light and doesn't add much extra weight, it has a really nice compact design and the pour is very clean--I don't drip water everywhere accidentally and I have good control of my water flow. The only downside is that it's not 'fancy'--there's nothing to adjust and the times I've used a thermometer, you have to fill it up fairly high to get the tip to actually reach the water, and the holes are a little small so some thermometers might not fit. But that said, I really like it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! Having the right equipment always makes a difference and this is true of this kettle. As small as it may seem, having the ability to control the pour rate while brewing is important. Being able to accurately place the water where it needs to be without making a giant mess or drowning your coffee helps produce very accurate and delicious coffee time after time. I only wish I had gone for the variable control kettle, maybe next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bonavita 1.0 liter electric kettle Great to not have to transfer boiled water into a separate pouring kettle and it easily handles my 600 ml Chemex batches and allows slow, controlled pours. The kettle weighs 570 grams empty making it almost 3.5 pounds when full.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted I just got this a few days ago, but I am already in love with it. It is smaller than I imagined (I'm not great with sizes unless there's something in the picture to compare the item to, like a cup) but it holds plenty of water for my needs. It heats fast, is easy to control, easy to clean, and doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter. A hair pricey, but I'm still happy. Overall, I am very pleased with it. Oh, and the customer service is good too. Lot's of communication.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Form functional I purchased this kettle after spilling water over my aeropress for the umpteenth time. I previously owned the glass capresso kettle and the pouring is much more manageable with the Bonavita. While the Bonavita has less capacity and takes longer to boil, it is an all around better experience to not have to worry with pouring scalding water on my feet while I wake up, cleaning is much easier and while the spout is fragile, I prefer having stainless steel on the counter top. I'm giving 4/5 stars for value and quality because there is some condensation from the switch and under the unit after use, it's probably from humidity in the air and not any leakage, but it's still not the experience I was hoping for. That being said, I would most certainly recommend this kettle, and I can't think of a better company to buy from.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pourover kettle!! We bought this two weeks ago for our decaf pour overs and if you use water from a hot tower it only takes about 20 seconds to boil it in this kettle.  The spout is smooth and the whole thing is well worth the price.  My staff is asking me to order them some for their homes next time we order.

Where are the Bonavita pour-over kettles manufactured? Also, is Bonavita related to the Hario company?

Asked by: Cory
Per the Bonavita website, their kettles are engineered and manufactured in Germany. Bonavita and Hario are separate companies.
