I've looked a little bit at the Marco Uber Boiler, and I have to say, it appears to be wonderful combination of useful barista tools for manual brew methods. But one question kept coming to me--what about pouring a v60?? The uber boiler's water spout is in a fixed position, so if any kind of even extraction is to be achieved, one would have to do some gymnastics turning the filter cone in small circles.

Then, I looked at barismo's "articulated water delivery system", coined the Luminaire. I truly believe this is the future of manual brewing. There are no videos of the prototype in action, but from the pictures and description, it seems to be remarkable. It's not as flashy or slick as the Uber Boiler, but it has a component that the Uber Boiler doesn't have--a flexible hose spout which allows the barista to control the pour, which is ESSENTIAL in pouring a v60.

I envision the future of manual brewing will be marked heavily by the Luminaire, and the result will be a more precise, easier, faster, and more consistent cup of coffee.

Phillip, you mentioned that it didn't look as flashy, but I think it looks pretty slick.

The only other place I saw

The only other place I saw anything about it was in a barismo ad in Barista mag. I think that's about it.

Agreed

I think there is a lot of potential with the Luminaire Bravo-1. I have actually kept a tab open on my browser set to http://luminairecoffee.com/ for months just waiting for them to post some new information about it. Does anyone know where there is any other info about it other than the barismo article?
