Hario

Originally known primarily as a company that produces glass products, Hario (also known as Hario Glass) has been working to produce high quality coffee and tea products since 1921. Over the past few years, Hario has become known as the coffee industry leader in pour over brewing equipment. Hario has helped bring about a coffee renaissance in the U.S. by creating ingeniously designed coffee brewing and grinding products that are being used by cafes and home coffee connoisseurs alike for by-the-cup coffee brewing. The design and methods behind Hario's brewing devices have helped to insure that specialty coffee is being brewed with the craft that it deserves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not 100% Made in Japan Beware, despite what Prima Coffee states on their description, this item is not 100% made in Japan. The glass portion is, but the metal portion is made in China. The whole unit is also assembled in China and it has a Made in China sticker on the bottom. Otherwise, the item works great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hario Press not all Japanese made but a sure value I bought this to replace my old Hario press after the glass finally broke. It had given me several years of use. I have high hopes for this one. Was bummed that the stainless parts were made in China. The glass is still made in Japan and the price is much cheaper then getting my friends in Japan to ship me one. コーヒーおいしいですよ

I have already bought the 8 cup size which is too small.  Is this Press larger?

Asked by: Mort
This press is actually fairly small. It's 600ml (6/10 of a liter).

How does the Hario press compare to the Bodum press?

Asked by: BJOH
It's hard to beat the incredible quality of Hario glass. We've seen it bounce off floors and sinks. The build quality of the Hario press overall is excellent, although we aren't too familiar with the Bodum.
