SKU: Kalita Server

The Kalita Glass Server comes in either a 300mL (10.14oz) capacity or a 500 mL (16.9 oz) capacity and makes the perfect companion for both sizes of the Kalita Wave Dripper.

Kalita is a Japanese based company that specializes in producing coffee brewing equipment. Most notably they are the creators of the Kalita Wave Dripper and Kalita Wave Kettle. The Kalita Wave Dripper brings an innovative design to the pour over process with its wave filter and flat-bottom geometry. The wave filter helps temperature stability by keeping the water away from the brewer material and using air as an insulator. The flat bottom geometry helps provide an even extraction.

I see that the height of the 500 ml Kalita server is indicated as 4.5 inches in a previous post. Is this the height to the very top of the glass rim? Thank you.

Asked by: Suzie
I measured the 500ml with Calipers this morning and found the height to the rim to be 4.37"

How long will this keep coffee hot?

Asked by: cjpeltz
I have the 500 mL version and it keeps the coffee hot for around five minutes and drinkable (depending on your preferences) for up to maybe 10 minutes. To have it stay hot for half an hour you would need to wrap tin foil carefully around it, and even then I I'm not sure that 30 minutes is really possible. Rfelb, are there any servers out there better at preserving the heat?
