5 / 5 stars

Good seller, good product, but needs manual

Prima Coffee gets five stars for the honest description of my used Knock Feld2 grinder (like new!) and for shipping promptly. If I could rate Knock separately, they would get four stars. It would be five, but for two problems. First, Knock’s failure to include even a one-page sheet on maintenance and cleaning is discourteous. A grinder of this quality and cost deserves to be maintained to ensure years of enjoyment, and owners shouldn’t have to guess and tinker to figure out what needs to be done, how, and how often. (Prima Coffee made a video showing how to adjust the grind setting, which is admirable, but their video doesn’t address maintenance, and that’s understandable because it’s not Prima’s responsibility, it’s Knock’s.) Second , the bottom section tends to slip off while grinding. This is a design deficiency—there’s no need for a friction-fit with an o-ring. The bottom chamber doesn’t need to be airtight, or even close. It just has to stay on while grinding. I understand the decision to avoid threads (which would get fouled and worn by coffee grounds over time) but a slip-fit secured by a pin-in-groove would avoid that problem.
