Another year has passed, and once again the big SCAA Event is upon us! In just over a week, our team will be headed to Atlanta to take part in the largest coffee industry event in the US, and we'll be packing a whole lot of awesome along for the ride. Want to know what's up with the Event this year? You know we've got you covered!
When coffee professionals from all over gather each year for the annual Specialty Coffee Expo, you know it's going to be a whirlwind of a weekend. Sample bags of beans are doled out to prospective clients, business cards are shoved deftly into new hands, smiles abound and the coffee flows more freely than the water does (seriously, it's sometimes tough to stay hydrated at these things!). There are a half dozen parties every night, the local coffee shops put on special menus and polish up their service, and every Airbnb in the area will suddenly find itself laden with grinders and brewing wares. It's a phenomenal sight to behold and such a thrill to take part in - every year we leave impressed, exhausted, and excited for the weeks to come.
Later this week, throngs of coffee professionals and enthusiasts will descend upon Seattle - and no, it's not just because it's Seattle on a Friday. The 2017 Global Specialty Coffee Expo (popularly referred to as simply "SCAA," or is it just "SCA" now?) is upon us, and you can bet that Prima will be joining in all the fun and festivities out in Seattle. But there's one big catch this year: we're going boothless!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s right, it’s almost time for some of the world’s most dedicated coffee professionals and enthusiasts to nerd-out over one of life’s greatest gifts at the 2018 Specialty Coffee Expo in Seattle. In this post, we've covered our plans, what to expect, and how to follow us.
All good things must come to an end. At least that’s what Chaucer said. And sadly, that is true for the 2018 Specialty Coffee Expo. But melancholy aside, this year’s Expo was definitely a success. We saw a bunch of new products, exchanged numerous business cards, recorded hours of video, watch baristas compete, drank too much coffee, had too little sleep, and had a lot of fun!
