If you’ve perused our blog before or spent any time scrolling through our social media feeds, you can probably tell: we’re huge grinder nerds here at Prima. It’s true, of all the equipment we test out and use in our day to day, grinders are probably the most exciting (Hello, Baratza Sette!). And that’s mainly because grinder technology is in a bit of a Renaissance right now - we’re seeing better burrs in more places, more attention paid to grind
Mazzer Kony Conical Burr Espresso Grinder: Economic and more compact, the Kony offers many of the advantages of fancier espresso grinders without having to break the bank.
Mazzer Robur Electronic Conical Burr Espresso Coffee Grinder On the top of Mazzer's line espresso grinders is the Robur. With its power motor and conical burrs, this piece of equipment can spit out a dose of espresso faster than you can say, "One cappuccino, please."
When coffee professionals from all over gather each year for the annual Specialty Coffee Expo, you know it's going to be a whirlwind of a weekend. Sample bags of beans are doled out to prospective clients, business cards are shoved deftly into new hands, smiles abound and the coffee flows more freely than the water does (seriously, it's sometimes tough to stay hydrated at these things!). There are a half dozen parties every night, the local coffee shops put on special menus and polish up their service, and every Airbnb in the area will suddenly find itself laden with grinders and brewing wares. It's a phenomenal sight to behold and such a thrill to take part in - every year we leave impressed, exhausted, and excited for the weeks to come.
