Any barista will tell you that one of the most important tools for making great espresso is their tamper. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A thing of beauty…and a joy to hold Prima espresso tamper. Beautifully made. Nice weight. Lovely feel. Adds that all important little extra touch to the ritual of making a great espresso. Curved base a revelation. (Quick word to the wise to any other Breville Infuser users trying to up their game. Breville cites 54mm tamper / basket. 54mm Prima tamper barely fits the Breville's steeply tapered basket sides - so suggest the more-standard 53mm Prima base would be a much better fit.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this tamper This tamper was excellent for the price. Most heavy tampers are expensive and I believe this was the only one that was under $50. What caught my attention was the customer service reps. I ordered the wrong size base so when I contacted them to address the issue, they were super nice and willing to help and exchange. I never heard of this company until now. Highly recommended, really!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Making espresso is a daily ritual in our home. Glad to finally have a good tamper because it does make a difference. I can't say that this one is better or worse than the others I looked at but I love the Fleur de Lys insignia and thus chose this one. I use a Unic, measured closely and went with the 57mm convex. It's a good fit. Your chart might recommend 56mm?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very elegant. I am a coffee enthusiast and this is my first piece of equipment, other than my Capresso coffee machine which is over 4 years old, and I'm pretty excited about it. It enhances the coffee making experience in addition to the taste.

Is the convex an American or Euro curve? Thanks!

Asked by: Florence890
We can't say for sure, but based on our measurements, the point at which the curve is at its highest is about 2mm. To us, this appears to be a less extreme American Curve.
