Recipe:
- Coffee dose: 5lbs
- Water Weight: 6 gallons
- Grind Size: Coarse
- Water Temp: Cool water
Begin by adding 5 pounds of coarsely ground coffee to the Alto Cold Brew Filter.
Step 1
Next, place the filter inside the bucket and wrap the filter around the edges.
Step 2
Grab someone to come help you as one of you holds the filter in place while the other pours approximately 1 gallon of water directly to the grounds. Stir the grounds ensuring they are all damp and saturated.
Step 3
Next, you'll close the filter and secure it tightly with the cable tie. Place the secure filter into the bucket.
Step 4
Now, you'll pour the remaining 5 gallons directly into the bucket covering the filter and coffee grounds. Cover with the lid and allow it to sit for 24 hours.
Step 5
Once the 24 hours is up, grab a friend and have them place the strainer on top of the bucket as you remove the filter from the cold brew. Place the filter in the strainer and let it drip for around 5-10 minutes. You can discard the filter and coffee grounds and pour the cold brew concentrate into pitchers or servers of your choice using the spigot. Dilute the concentrate at a 1 to .5 ratio. Serve and enjoy!
