Building on the award-winning legacy of the Vario series, Baratza has introduced the Vario+ as a solution to espresso grinding all the way to French press grinding, and everything in between. With 220 adjustment steps, the Vario+ allows for strict precision, no matter which brew method you're using on any given day. The easy-to-read LCD display makes grinding simple in the early morning hours, and the 54mm flat, ceramic burrs ensure consistency within every application. Available in black or white, the Baratza Vario+ is sure to compliment your home coffee setup and elevate your coffee brewing experience.
For the Prosumer
When designing the Vario+, Baratza sought to bring a more professional, all-purpose electric grinder to the home at a budget-friendly price. Many of the internal and external components that were found on the Vario+'s predecessor (the Vario) have been upgraded to metal construction; the most noticeable of these upgrades include an all-metal grind chamber and burr carrier, as well as metal adjustment knobs. A set of heavy-duty, metal portafilter forks is included for espresso enthusiasts and allows for grinding directly into the center of your basket. These forks can be removed if you would rather enjoy a pour-over or if you want to prepare a batch of cold brew.
Commercial Capabilities At Home
Possibly the most exciting new feature found on the Vario+ is the timed-dosing capability. Often found on commercial espresso grinders, this trait allows you to set and save three grind presets down to the tenth of a second, taking any guesswork out of the equation and providing consistent precision. However, Baratza didn't stop there. The Vario+ boasts a number of convenient attributes including barista lights, minimal retention, and cool, quiet operation. The 54mm ceramic burrs are easily removed without the use of tools for ease of cleaning or swapping to the flat, steel burrs if preferred. Whether you're in the mood for espresso, pour-overs, or cold brew, the Vario+ can accommodate your coffee preferences.
