There's a lot to love about cloth filters: they're reusable, brew with more body than paper filters, but less sediment than metal mesh filters, and they're inexpensive. CoffeeSock's filters are an exceptional product, with all the best that cloth filters have to offer and more. Made of organic cotton right here in the USA, they feature strong stitching and two-ply construction. In contrast to flannel-style cloth filters, the higher thread count of CoffeeSock's filters offers a cleaner brew with less sediment, but the same richness you can expect from cloth.

These Chemex filters by CoffeeSock are as easy to use as they are to care for. Sized to fit the 6, 8, and 10 cup Chemex models, all you need to do for a great brew is grind slightly finer than you would for your normal Chemex brew. After usage, just shake out the used grounds, brush off the leftovers, and give the filter a good rinse. Then, you can let the filter dry thoroughly, or keep it in a small container of water. We recommend soaking the cloth in Full Circle detergent or a similar product as needed, to break up coffee stains and keep the filter fresh.

CoffeeSock

There's nothing quite like a good cloth-filtered cup of coffee, with the perfect balance of rich body and bright, clean flavor. It's something anybody can appreciate, and folks like CoffeeSock know that. Their organic cotton filters are perfect for brewing coffee that nestles itself between the clarity of a paper filter and the oily richness of a metal filter. Plus, the filters are reusable, and oh-so-easy to maintain, requiring only a quick rinse after brewing and a wash whenever you wish. These high-quality filters are one of our new favorite brewing tools, and a welcome addition to our catalog.

Really makes a difference

Only had the filter for a couple of weeks. Huge improvement over drip coffee makers and a much cleaner brew compared to my french press. I don't buy fancy coffee and love coffee shop coffee but am too cheap to pay 5 buck for cup of coffee. Have tried a lot of expensive coffees at home and insist on fresh ground whenever possible. With this filter I am using Community coffee, pre ground off the shelf and really like the flavor. No bitterness and the pot can stay on the warmer for and hour or two without tasting burnt. My husband talked about "sock pot coffee" from his childhood (real socks dangled in a pot of boiling water) and I finally tried my own method - 4 layers of cotton cloth in a funnel over a paper filter into my existing (drip) coffee pot. Worked so well I tried these filters - and do not need the paper filter! No sediment of any kind. Early days yet, but so far, great.

CLEANEST CUP!

At first I was using the unbleached Chemex filters and thought going from french press that it was indeed a cleaner cup. As a national beer judge, I can pick up all of the goodness and every little flaw as well when it comes to a beverage. The paper filters were giving off floral perfume notes instantly. I went through different styles of coffee narrowing it down. Then I pre soaked the filter and chewed on it. That was it! It was the paper filter. I bought these and what a world of difference. No off flavors, no box taking up space in cupboard, no ordering all the time and worrying about running out of filters, and you save money in the long run. But the biggest thing is a clean cup of coffee. Forget about what people say about cleaning the filter and that its a pain in rear. Sometimes in life it pays to not have the quick convenience of disposables. Spend a little extra time and make that cup of crafted coffee. You'll thank yourself on your first sip!

Great reusable Filter for a chemex

I bought this because I was tired of buying and throwing out paper filters and so far this has been a superb replacement. I think the coffee honestly tastes smoother as long as you grind it thiner than what you do for the paper filters.

Love it!

I've been using a coffee sock filter since I received it a couple of weeks ago, and love it! My coffee tastes the best ever and no more paper filters for sure.
