OptiPure BWS175 Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment System with Mineral Addition for Coffee and Espresso

Water quality is the unsung hero when it comes to the coffee you are serving in your cafe. Not only does water quality affect flavor, it can also cause great damage to your equipment, including clogged group heads and ruined heating elements. Thanks to the OptiPure BWS175, you can easily monitor and control your optimized water with the touch of a button while consistently serving quality drinks and protecting your beloved equipment.

Starting with its high-capacity carbon pre-filtration system, chlorine, sediment, off-tastes, and odors are removed from your water in order to increase the lifespan of the filtration system and produce cleaner water. After the water moves through the carbon pre-filter, Reverse Osmosis (RO) removes up to 97% of the water's Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) using a semi-permeable membrane. After the RO process, a balance of minerals is dissolved into the RO water at roughly 40-70ppm with 75% calcium and 25% magnesium.

The most exciting feature on the OptiPure BWS175 is the blend valve that allows you blend any amount of carbon filtered water with RO water to achieve your desired TDS. You can adjust the blend valve to increase or decrease your total TDS, producing Optimized Water, perfect for brewing coffee or espresso, or any other situation where water quality is important. Because the taste and cleanliness of your water is crucial to the quality of your coffee, having the ability to so easily control these factors with the blend valve is a game-changer.

This system is the smaller, more stripped-down version of the BWS350, producing 175 gallons of water a day instead of 350 without sacrificing the performance quality you have come to appreciate and depend on from OptiPure products. Because the BWS175 model is capable of pumping out 175 gallons of water a day, or 7.3 gallons of water an hour, we recommend it as an all encompassing solution (with the exception of ice-machines) for low to mid-volume cafes, or for high volume cafes when only being used for espresso and batch brew.

When you purchase this system, you can choose from a 2.5, 5, 10, or 16 gallon storage tank. The storage tank allows you to stock up on Optimized Water since water can be pumped out much more quickly than it can be treated through the RO system.
