Delivering on the promise of its name, the OXO Precision Scale weighs to the tenth of a gram or ounce and recalibrates zero upon each startup.

The OXO Precision Scale checks all the boxes for coffee brewing: precise measurement (in grams, ounces, or pounds), quick readings, and a timer. The high-capacity allows weighing of large batches of Chemex or Plus the interface is simple and easy to use. The menu has only three buttons, all clearly labeled ("œStart/Stop," "œPower/Zero," and "œUnit" for changing from grams to ounces or pounds), and a digital LED display that shows time (in minutes and seconds), weight, and capacity.

Although the Precision Scale is simple, it has a few extras up its silicone sleeve. The Weight Capacity Indicator, for example, is a meter above the "œUnit" button that rises and falls to show how close each load is to the limit. Other extras include a battery-friendly Auto Shut-off that engages after 30 minutes of inactivity, touch-sensitive buttons that respond to the gentlest finger pressure, and a silicone mat to protect the face of the scale from scratches and heat.
