Ultra-low Retention Single-Dose Grinder

Aries is a conical burred single dose grinder designed for ultra low retention and multi-purpose use at home. Aries stands less than 12in high, but punches way above its weight class with commercial grade titanium nitride coated 83 millimeter burrs and cool features like variable RPM control, auto stop functionality, a brushless DC motor locking stepped adjustment, and a magnetic blind shaker for very simple espresso dosing.

The hallmark of the Aries really is the cone burr carrier, which drops straight out of the grinder with a simple twist, enabling tool free disassembly in three seconds or less without even disturbing the current grind setting. And this feature not only encourages disassembly, but even transforms it into a hassle free aspect of regular workflow, allowing you to eliminate retained grounds when switching between coffees or extreme grind size changes. Amazingly, even without removing the cone burr Aries achieves a dosing variance of plus or minus a 10th of a gram with RDT, making this grinder ideal for anyone who frequently switches between espresso and filter coffee. Methods. And there's also an integrated knocker in the burr carrier, which helps clear out retained grounds, as well as a sweeper in the hopper, which ensures no coffee bean is left behind.

Aries features a 104 degree adjustment range with 52 steps of adjustment, which is plenty to dial in for any coffee in any brew method. A helpful locking mechanism prevents the adjustment from being bumped during use as well. To move the adjustment, just hold down the locking button and turn the adjustment. When you let go, the dial will settle into the nearest notch and stay there.

Normally found in commercial espresso grinders three times its price and size. These special dodecagonal 83 millimeter conical burrs allow for fast, quiet grinding below conversational volume, in part because they're spinning between just 90 to 150 rpm, which is really slow and actually quite similar to a hand grinder. The cup profile from these burrs is characterized by a syrupy body and medium clarity, offering distinctly more clarity than the average conical burr. The overall flavor profile, I would say, is rounded with softened yet distinctly present acidity, which contrasts really nicely with the profiles produced by modern flat burr grinders. So I'm just going to go ahead and make some espresso to give you an idea of the sound and the workflow of the Aries, and then we'll be done.

So that is the Mx. Cool Aries, conical burr, coffee grinder. Check it out at primacoffee.com. Thanks for watching.
