It's not often that a pouring kettle offers something truly new - but that's just what Fellow has done with the Stagg kettle.

This beautifully designed kettle is equal parts form and function, with a 1 liter capacity and a long graceful gooseneck that makes precise pours so much easier. Built into the lid is a brew range thermometer, the first of its kind to be found stock in a pouring kettle. The new version 1.2 kettle features a redesigned steel lid and tapered pouring spout for better control. The striking handle is not only comfy to hold, it is also counterweighted to help you better control your pours and get as much or as little water into your brew as you need. With a kettle like the Stagg in your arsenal, you won't fret over pouring perfection again.

Available in a matte black finish, polished stainless steel, or steel with copper finish. Made of stainless steel and BPA-free plastics. This 1.0 liter kettle is ideal for pour over brewing, and can be used on gas, electric, and induction stovetops.

Excellent Pour

I do not have the steadiest hands in the world and often had trouble getting an even pour out my my Hario kettle. I would often get splashes of water or too large a stream. Then I bought this kettle and now I feel like I could perform surgery. It is the most even and effortless pour I have experienced. On top of that, the kettle maintains a temperature better than the Hario did. This is a beautiful kettle both for its design and function. The ergonomics are incredible and it makes a delicious cup easier to attain (even if your hands are a tad shaky).

Good for Pour Over

I have had this about a month. The first time I used it the thermometer fogged up. Prima sent me a new thermometer immediately. The new one has performed as expected. The balance on this unit is perfect. It really is helpful to have the thermometer built in.

Beautiful Kettle

I know a coffee shop in Columbus, Ohio named Fox in the Snow Cafe, which purchased and now uses this kettle at their pourover station. Each time I see it, it just grabs me as the most elegant looking kettle I have ever seen. The Baristas there all say the same about it.

Beautiful Kettle for price!

The only reason I won't give this kettle 5 stars is that there are other kettles that have the same pouring capabilities, in regards to the spout. The ergonomic weighted handle makes this so easy to pour with. With a bonavita or hario kettle I always feel a need to push slightly back on the lid to give me control, but I don't have to do that with the Stagg. And the thermometer in the lid is a great addition that takes so much of the guess work out of brew temperature. This is a great kettle, especially for only 70 bucks. While there are cheaper kettles that will get the job done, and it may seem superfluous to spend 70 dollars on a piece of metal that heats water on a stove, the thermometer, weighted handle, and control make it a worthwhile addition to any homebrew setup.

Almost perfect!

First off, let me say I love this kettle! I was going to purchase the Hario but went for this one because it's so beautiful, cool and modern looking. It also functions exactly as it should, performing flawlessly. No issues with that whatsoever. I've only experienced 2 small issues which prevented me from giving it 5 stars; the black matte paint isn't as durable as I expected and it's already showing wear on the bottom. It easily scratches, and I'm the type of person who takes care of stuff. The 2nd issue is the plastic bottom of the handle wasn't attached when I opened the product from the box after I initially got it. You'd think for 69 bucks that wouldn't happen. I simply reattached it by snapping it into place and it's had no problems. If the fine folks@Fellow could address these 2 issues it would be absolutely perfect. Bonus: this may have been the coolest unboxing for a product I've ever opened-the box is really hip and well thought out with the graphic design and different layers as you open it. Great info inside as well.

Similar experience as Bjorn from Chicago- Gorgeous Design, Sub-par Quality

I'm always excited to support American design and fell in love with the Stagg immediately. When I first opened the box though, the thermometer face was so scratched up I wondered if I had gotten a reboxed kettle. Moving past that, thinking I could always exchange it, I noticed a chink in the metal near the lid and uneven finishing towards the bottom (the paint was glossier in some areas). On the handle is a small plug with small, plastic burrs weren't completely removed (which seems odd at the main touch point). Not wanting to rule it out yet without even testing it, I filled up right under the fill line. Functionally, this kettle works beautifully. The handle weight feels nice, thermometer was excellent, water temperature stayed in brewing range for 5 minutes (perfect pour-over timing). After taking it off the range and looking at the bottom though, some of the paint was already compromised. All the minor imperfections by themselves wouldn't be a problem, but at this price I'm disappointed with their quality control. TL;DR Great look, frustrating quality

Beautiful design, poor craftsmanship

I was so looking forward to receiving the Stagg Kettle. Its got such a beautiful design and appeared to be so thoughtfully made. When it arrived with some blemishes (small scratches on the face of the thermometer), I was prepared to overlook it. When I tried taking the lid off it was surprisingly difficult. Again I thought “well this really is so beautiful, I can live with that annoyance”. I put the kettle on the stove and started heating up some water. I had nearly 32 ounces of water in (which was very close to the max fill line), and it was clearly boiling but the thermometer was not reading above 180 degrees. I went to lift the lid off and the thermometer (which is also the handle) broke right off. Needless to say, the product I was so excited about was rather a let down.
