Building on the feature-packed E80 Supreme, the Mahlkoenig E80 Supreme GbW (Grind by Weight) introduces technologies that enhance dosing consistency and grind setting accuracy. With an integrated load cell and new Disc Distance Detection, grind settings can now be tracked digitally. The high-precision load cell, tunable to 0.1 grams, marks a shift from the traditional grind-by-time auto-dosing. This advancement ensures better dose accuracy, eliminating the need to rely on stable environmental conditions. You no longer need to worry about temperature changes, grind fineness fluctuations, or resetting your dose timer when switching between different bags of beans; any adjustments to grind size will keep your dose weight consistent.
Consistent Grinding
Adding to the impressive accuracy featured in this espresso grinder is Mahlkonig’s Disc Distance Detection system, which calculates the physical distance between the burrs down to 0.1 millimeter. Once you’ve dialed in you can save your grind fineness by this measurement, making it simple to monitor how your grind setting may float slightly throughout service and giving you an incredibly accurate way to get back to exactly where you found that delectable extraction. Using the fine-threaded stepless adjustment collar in concert with the new DDD technology makes staying dialed-in easier than ever.
