The Baratza Encore ESP Pro builds on the proven Encore ESP platform with dramatically finer espresso adjustment and improved burr alignment for more consistent dialing. In the espresso range, adjustments are tightened to roughly 2–3 microns per increment, giving you real control over shot time and extraction instead of jumping between oversized steps. Extraction is easier to fine-tune, shots are more repeatable, and grind consistency is improved across the range thanks to Baratza’s hardened steel burr set and upgraded internal alignment.

Compared to the Encore ESP, the ESP Pro replaces the stepped feel with a progressive adjustment ramp: ultra-fine control through the espresso range, then larger, faster jumps as you move into filter and immersion brewing. This means you get precise control where it matters most without sacrificing usability for coarser methods. The result is less wasted coffee while dialing in, faster transitions between brew styles, and a grinder that pushes well beyond entry-level espresso performance while keeping the same compact footprint and straightforward workflow.
