Calcium chloride attributes to the general hardness (GH) in your water, and will directly contribute to the amount of texture and sweetness in your brewed coffee. When used in conjuction with potassium bicarbonate, calcium chloride can aid in accentuating bright, fruity and floral flavors as well as acidity to the forefront of your coffee. Using the Lotus calcium chloride solution can provide a vibrant, balanced finish to your lighly roasted coffees. One drop of the Lotus calcium chloride concentrate is equal to 10 parts per million (PPM) in the Lotus 450mL mixing bottle. We recommend using distilled water or water that has undergone reverse osmosis treatment for the best results.
