Many of our customers love manual brewing equipment because of the freedom it provides. With the lack of dependency on anything other than coffee and hot water, the coffee lover is able to take their coffee gear wherever they go. We've been on the lookout for a small scale with a precision weight variance that can be a part of this setup. With the Pro Scale XC2000 we believe we've found the perfect scale for weighing coffee doses on the go. The XC2000 does have an auto-shutoff set for 30 seconds of inactivity that cannot be disabled, but the .1 gram variance is perfect for precise coffee measurement.* The minimal weigh variance makes it a perfect companion to the Mypressi Twist or for those who want maximum accuracy in their brewing doses.

They produce a variety of unique scale styles and sizes that can come in handy for the coffee connoisseur. Our first product offering from Pro Scale is the Pro Scale XC2000. Pro Scale XC2000 Small Precision Scale is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's tiny, but that's it's appeal! I received this during a cold spell and when I opened it I couldn't get it to turn on. Reading the information that was included it noted that the unit needs to acclimate. After several hours of leaving it out in room temperature I came back to the unit and it turned on. Using the unit I was impressed with it's many features, especially the tare feature which is perfect for me. Be sure you get this feature when you buy a scale. I like you can switch from ounces to grams. I like the blue LCD screen. I like that it doesn't take up much counter space and doesn't require a plug in to operate. I like that you can take it with you and that it comes with a leather cover. All in all a very good product and worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very useful tool I bought this recently and am using it to refine my espresso extraction technique. I love that it measures down to the tenth of a gram the beans prior to grinding and the final liquid extraction of my shots. It's compact enough to fit under the portafilter with plenty of room for the shot glasses. Very helpful tool for my Rocket.

Can I use this scale to weigh out my dose in the portafilter?

Asked by: cdaniel
This scale is a bit on the small side for a portafilter. It's intended for shot glasses. Another option would be the Hario VST-2000B scale.

Would my 10 cup Chemex be too heavy for this little guy?

Asked by: C8 H10 N4 O2
Not necessarily too heavy, but the scale offers a fairly small amount of surface area and wouldn't be an ideal pairing for a big Chemex. We would strongly recommend the Jennings or Hario Scale for that application.
