No power? No Problem! The Nomad Manual Espresso Maker will brew 9 bar espresso anywhere you can find hot water, and its compact size and lightweight construction make it easy to take it with you wherever you go.

If you've ever found yourself craving a perfect espresso when you're out camping by the lake, or stuck in a hotel with one of those dreaded pod machines, you're now in luck. The Nomad manual espresso maker is a compact, portable, true espresso machine that you can take with you to wherever you might want to have a great shot. It doesn't require any power to use, all you'll need is a source for hot water and a way to grind your coffee (may we suggest a good hand grinder?). The double action manual pump pushes water through your puck at the proper 9 bars of pressure, and the crema-enhancing valve can easily be removed to pull a full-fledged proper shot of espresso on the go. The Nomad is extremely easy to use, and if we're being honest, it took us completely by surprise when we realized it truly is a great little espresso maker and not just a gimmick.

To make the best of the Nomad, we suggest a few things: first, always pre-heat before use by flushing the reservoir with very hot water and pumping it through the brew group. Second, we highly recommend using a scale for espresso, but it can be tough to fit a scale and a cup under the outlet spout so you may need to place the Nomad on a book or raised surface to weigh your shot yields. Third, definitely take advantage of the variable pressure to brew your shots! Pressure profiling can make for some very interesting results in the cup, but a simply way to start with this is to start your extraction with low pressure (4-6 bars) for a bit of pre-infusion, then ramp up the pressure to 8-9 bars to finish the shot. Play around, have fun, and enjoy the tasty results!
