Hi, Chris here with Prima Coffee Equipment. Today we are taking a look at Bonavita's stove-top pouring kettle. Bonavita's kettle is a great, simple, basic pouring kettle for pour-over coffee. We like it for a few reasons.
It's made with stainless steel and it's very, very lightweight. It's very light in the hand, and the plastic handle here makes it very comfortable to hold. It looks simple but it feels great to hang on to, especially when you're pouring for a couple of minutes. The lid here comes off. It has large enough holes to accommodate most thermometers for monitoring the temperature of your water, which we appreciate a lot. Though really a basic kettle, its flow rate is pretty impressive. It can go quite slow and rather steady, or it can pour quite a bit.
The combination of those things offers great control for pour-over coffee, single cup, 360, or Kalita, Beehouse, anything like that. It's a really basic kettle - the price is right though. We like it a lot for what it is. Thanks for watching.
