Hey, I'm Steve with Prima Coffee Equipment, and today I'm here to talk to you about the Mazzer Super Jolly Electronic espresso grinder. It's a great grinder. It's good for medium-volume cafes. You'll even find it in some espresso-enthusiast's homes because it's got a lot of great power and performance for its size, while also not being a very high-cost grinder.

Mazzer Super Jolly Electronic Doserless Espresso Grinder

Flat Steel Grinding Burrs: 64mm, Hopper Capacity: 2.7 lbs, Adjustable doser: 5.5g-9g

Featured Product

Working from the top down, we have a 2.7 pound hopper, so you can get the better part of a 5-pound bag of coffee in here. 64 mm, flat, steel burrs with stepless adjustment. All you really have to do to adjust it is move this adjustment ring left or right to go finer and coarser. And we also have electronic timed dosing. So this is a doserless grinder, inside here is just a funnel, you can set your porta filter underneath it to catch all your grounds.

But you also have programmable doses for either single or double espressos, as well as a manual setting. So to program this all you really have to do is hold the Menu button down, you'll see the screen flash, and then you can select your dose, and change the time in 20th of a second increments. So that can go up or down, and then hold the Menu button again to set that in.

It's really easy adjust, it takes a couple of seconds to adjust on the fly, but in the morning when you're dialing in your coffee, no time at all, you can just change your grind, change your settings, and you're good to go and you're locked in for the rest of the day. There is also a manual setting mode, so we can just grind a little bit of coffee here.

It's a pretty fast grinder, the 64 mm burrs put out a little over a gram and a half per second. So you're talking about maybe 12 seconds for a 20 gram dose of espresso. Retention is also fairly low, we measure it about 4 grams in-between doses. So you have a little bit of waste, but you can purge it pretty quickly, you just tap that manual setting real quick, throw those grinds away, and then you can grind out your dose.

It's also not too large of a grinder, it comes in at about 31 pounds, and stands about 24 inches tall, so it will fit in most spaces. And as I said, sometimes you'll even find it in a kitchen or two. So that's the Mazzer Super Jolly Electronic Grinder. Pretty good grinder for its cost. Thanks for watching.
