Hario

Originally known primarily as a company that produces glass products, Hario (also known as Hario Glass) has been working to produce high quality coffee and tea products since 1921. Over the past few years, Hario has become known as the coffee industry leader in pour over brewing equipment. Hario has helped bring about a coffee renaissance in the U.S. by creating ingeniously designed coffee brewing and grinding products that are being used by cafes and home coffee connoisseurs alike for by-the-cup coffee brewing. The design and methods behind Hario's brewing devices have helped to insure that specialty coffee is being brewed with the craft that it deserves.

Quick and easy!

I bought the dpw-3 cloth filters for my hario and I am completely satisfied! I was honestly surprised by how quickly I received the filters in the mail. I will for sure be ordering from Prima again.

Simple and Effective

Simple flannel filter for Hario Woodneck drip pot. No moving parts, well-stitched seams, and dye-free material add up to a filter that allows the coffee's oils to make it through to your brew while trapping all of the grounds without any silt making it into the cup. After using the filter and cleaning off the grounds, I give it a rinse and run some boiling water through it into the empty pot before running it under cold water and sealing it in a ziplock bag and putting it in the refrigerator. This keeps any off smells at bay between uses. I clean my filters weekly using OxyClean Free (about a tablespoon in a cup to a cup-and-a-half of hot water) and allowing for an all-day soak. Then I rinse the filter under running water and boil it for 10 minutes before putting it back on it's hoop frame, rinsing in cold water, and zipping it back into its back and back in the fridge. I recently switched to changing filters monthly from doing so quarterly. I noticed that at about a month that the flow rate begins to slow significantly due to the daily use and weekly boil as part of the cleaning process. The weave really gets a lot tighter than that found in an unused filter. Being able to buy them in a 3-pack is also a plus. i reorder when I prep the last filter of the package for action so that I can change the filter out on time. I believe that proper in-between brew cleaning, weekly cleaning using OxyClean, and monthly replacement all contribute to a better tasting cup of coffee.

Great reusable filters

Used my old filters for way too long, can really taste a difference with the new ones I just got! Great quality.
