Introducing Grind-by-Sync Technology

The Mahlkonig E65W GbS grinder represents the state of the art of espresso grinding technology, offering precise grind-by-weight and intelligent synchronization with compatible La Marzocco espresso machines. Weight-based dosing offers wildly accurate doses and super consistent brews, while Sync technology automatically adjusts the grind size when necessary to achieve a programmed recipe. The E65W GbS not only eliminates manual adjustments, but improves efficiency and precision during high-demand service.

Performance

Equipped with a 700W motor and 65mm steel burrs, the E65W GbS is designed for a duty cycle of about 4 seconds on, 26 seconds off, or roughly 2 shots per minute at a speed of 3.5-4 grams per second. This makes the grinder ideal as a primary espresso grinder in low to medium volume environments, or as a secondary grinder for decaf or single origin coffees in busier cafes. But the E65W GbS can also handle continuous grinding sessions for up to 10 minutes without overheating.

Future-Proof Design

Even if you're not utilizing the Sync functionality, the GbS operates just like the GbW (Grind-by-Weight version), but with a precision motorized grind adjustment that can be manually adjusted with the jog dial. Even if you don't currently have a compatible La Marzocco, we encourage you to future-proof your grinder purchase by choosing the GbS instead of the GbW and save the Sync functionality in your back pocket! Mahlkonig plans to expand this technology to support more machines and solutions in the market, so it’s just a matter of time before these features become relevant to you.
