Featuring double-walled glass, the dripper both insulates the coffee bed while brewing and remains cool to the touch. The removable silicone foot helps maintain an insulating cushion of air, without needing a vacuum seal. The GINO dripper uses the same Wave-style filters at the Kalita 185, and utilizes a similar flat-bottom design for brewing. It couldn't be simpler to brew a great cup of coffee, as the GINO is rather forgiving of technique. We recommend aiming for about 500-750 mL of brewed coffee at maximum, but we've found it's possible to squeeze about 1000 mL out of a brew with some careful pulse pouring.

The GINO is made of borosilicate glass and food-grade silicone, and is dishwasher safe. Pair it up with the GINO 20 oz. Double-Wall Decanter to complete the beautiful set.

  • Double wall borosilicate glass
  • Interior air space helps insulate your brews
  • Stays cool to the touch even during brewing
  • Removable silicone foot
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Uses Kalita 185 style filters
  • Brews 500-750 mL of coffee

Great tasting coffee.

With over 40 years experience with pour over starting with Melitta graduating to Bee House and then Hario V60, I just was intrigued with notNeutral so I gave it a try. I am just as pleased as could be with this brewing system. I love that my second cup stays warm in the insulated glass decanter as I usually make about 400 mls. The silicon base keeps the dripper gripped to the counter when not in use less it should get bumped and slide off for a crash and the set up is more stable than you would think during use. Yes,the 185 Wave filters are ridiculously expensive at double the price of a #2 Hario filter, but the results are worth it. I found I was nailing extractions after my first few tries and without as much fusing as other methods. I will say that I steered away from the latest Kallita Wave craze because the prices seemed so high for the drippers and the metal did not make sense to me, but I must admit that there is something to the design that works well. Especially well with the insulated glass.

Great form factor, good coffee!

Bought this to complement a million other brew methods I use and I'm glad I did. Produces a clean cup like Chemex but seems to have better body. I like how small it is and it complements the Hario 02 size servers perfectly. You can use any serving vessel that has a 3" wide flat opening. I took advantage of Prima's Black Friday special and got free Kalita 185 filters with it. That's the only downside to this system... the filters are a bit pricey and they are harder to find. The filters are also a bit fussy to get out of the package because they are compressed together, but c'est la vie. If you're thinking about a Kalita, I highly recommend this as an alternative. Works the same, looks cooler and it more affordable. Just be careful with it when your washing and drying it because it does get slippery in your hands when wet!

Extracts a nice hot cup with flavor

Great dripper. I like my coffee on the hot side. If you like to take your time letting each pass with your kettle drip through and have a nice hot cup without sticking it back in the microwave this will do it. The rubber gasket keeps a nice seal. Maybe too nice I have to lift it and tilt it so water will flow through. There seems to be a vacuum with my mugs which may be a smidge to tight with the rubber.

Nice

I bought two of these simply because of their beauty. I (unlike the rest of the world) prefer using Melitta-style filters. I've used these every day now for a couple of weeks but will probably go back to my Cilio drippers. They are beautiful in appearance and I can definitely notice better heat retention with these. At the same time, I hate the fact that the gasket doesn't really seal the dripper so coffee end up getting between the two walls making extra cleanup that is more annoying than what it may sound like. My other issue is the holes are not formed well when the glass is blown so one of them is nearly non-existent on one of the drippers I received.

Simple, but needs some QA. Gasket came warped

This is a beautiful, and simple filter. I imagine I'll get around to using it more down the line. The only problem I have with it is the gasket doesn't fit into the base like it should. It sticks out, despite repeated efforts to re-seat it.
