Customized Control
The Technivorm KBGV distinguishes itself with features like a 40oz (10 cup) glass carafe with 100 minute active heating and an automatic drip-stop built into the basket, which stops the flow of water as the basket is lifted to prevent a mess after brewing. The KBGV also features half-pot and full-pot settings which automatically adjust the brewing speed and hotplate temperature according to your selection. Like all Technivorm brewers, the KBGV is certified by the Specialty Coffee Association according to the Golden Cup Standard, which promises high brew temperatures between 196-205 degrees fahrenheit and a showerhead that promotes an even extraction of the grounds.
Effortless Brewing
Brewing a full pot of coffee with the Technivorm KBGV couldn’t be any easier — simply place a Melitta #4 Filter in the brew basket, add an appropriate volume of water to the reservoir and flip the power switch for either a half or full pot setting. The KBGV will brew a full 40oz pot of coffee in 4-6 minutes then automatically engage the hotplate to keep your coffee warm for up to 100 minutes before auto-shutoff engages. When the brew basket is removed, its automatic drip-stop will plug the bottom hole preventing any mess on the counter. That’s it, you’re done!
