Hey there, Steve from Prima Coffee Equipment here. We're talking about the Mazzer Super Jolly Timer. Now this is a doser grinder, it's got a built in timer. It's Mazzer's really second in line grinder. We've got a 2.7 pound hopper, 64 mm, flat, steal burrs with stepless adjustment, so all you really have to do to adjust it, like all Mazzers, is move the collar left or right to go coarser or finer. You've got basically unlimited adjustment.

Now this is-- being a timer grinder has a dosing chamber that holds about 300 grams or so. When you turn the timer on, you can run it for 5, 10 seconds or so, however much you need to either fill up your dose or fill up your dosing chamber. And you can just snap it back to the zero setting whenever you want From there you can use the dosing lever. It goes directly into your porta filter. You can set that adjustment so it doses a variable amount of grams - you want 7 grams - you want 8 grams or 10 grams per sweep. You can change that by just twisting the dosing veins inside the dosing chamber.

This is a little bit larger than the smaller version-- the Mini. It puts out about 1.6 grams per second, so you're talking about maybe 12 seconds for a 20 gram dose. There's also a little bit more retention. You're talking about maybe 4 grams in between a grinding session, so if you are using it to dose every time you load up a porta filter or it's been sitting for a few minutes, you probably want to purge a little bit in between each time you use it.

Apart from that, it's a really solid grinder. It's great as a main espresso grinder for a low- to mid-volume cafe, or as guest espresso grinders for decaf for a higher-volume cafe-- something that gets used fairly periodically but not necessarily all day, all the time.

It stands about 24 inches tall - two feet - weighs about 31 pounds. Pretty solid grinder, great performance for what it is. That's the Mazzer Super Jolly. Thanks for watching.
