Hey, ya'll. It's Steve with Prima Coffee. Today, we're taking a look at the OptiPure Water Test Kit. This is the most recent version as of early 2019. These test kits are something that we like to send out to customers, both commercial and consumer, whenever water quality is sort of in question. Water quality, of course, is really important for protecting your equipment, as well as getting the best extractions out of your coffee. So if you're not sure if really what kind of water treatment system would be right for you or your needs, we really like these kits because they'll give you a better picture of what's going on with your tap water and how to treat it for the equipment that you'd like to use. The kit is really simple. It's just a couple of things in a padded, already pre-addressed mailer. So you want to hold onto this padded mailer. You get two 50-milliliter vials, and pretty much all you have to do is fill them with water.

The one thing that you need to do first is just run your tap for about three minutes first before filling these, and that's just to sort of clear the system and make sure the water is nice and fresh. And you get this sheet. It's basically just an instruction sheet with a little bit of information for you to fill out in terms of, like, what the location is, where you are, and what kind of equipment you like to run because an ice machine doesn't need the same kind of filtration as an espresso machine. So we need to know what kind of equipment you're running, and that's pretty much it. So just follow the instructions on the sheet. They're really clear and simple. Fill up your vials with water. Get them in the bag, and send them off to OptiPure in the mail. Results usually come back to us within a week, maybe two sometimes.
And, from there, you know, OptiPure will make some recommendations on what sort of systems they think are appropriate for your setting, and we'll also get back to you with our recommendations as well, so we can kind of follow up from there. So that is really it. It's pretty simple. It's a fairly straightforward process. Just kind of make sure that you read the instructions, get your water samples sent out, and we'll be able to address your water treatment needs from there. So that is the OptiPure Water Test Kit.
