French Press Brewing Guide

The French Press is one of the most well-known manual brewers, gracing the countertops of experts and novices alike. This is due to its incredible simplicty and the enjoyable, full-body it yields. There are countless styles and materials available, and it offers up the ability to pour and walk away, which is perfect for many people's morning routine.

Recipe:

  • Coffee dose: 17g
  • Water Weight: 255g
  • Grind Size: Medium-Coarse
  • Water Temp: 210F



Begin by pouring your 17 grams of ground coffee into the French press.

Step 1




Start your timer and pour 55 grams of water ensuring all the grounds are saturated and stir. Allow it to bloom for 30 seconds.

Step 2




Pour another 200 grams of water, stir, and place the plunger on top.

Step 3





Wait approximately 6 minute until your timer reads 6:30 and proceed to plunge all the way down. It should neither flow down too fast nor present too much resistance.

Step 4
