The Ditting Flagship
A variation of the standard KR804 grinder, the Ditting K804 Lab is optimized for low retention, single-dose pour-over, espresso, and bag grinding. This model excludes the vibrator plate found with the KR804 and instead includes a foldable platform for cups or bowls, an especially useful feature for cupping labs. The K804 Lab is also equipped with an extended range gear, offering a grind size range of approximately 100 microns to 1,200 microns (versus the range of 100 to 900 microns with the KR804). This extended range gear allows the 804 Lab to grind coarser without sacrificing the Turkish range.

For Any Application
The K804 Lab can easily handle the workload of any specialty coffee application, from cupping labs and roasteries to cafés, for single-dosing pour overs and espresso to grinding into baskets for batch brewing. The K804 Lab’s 80mm tool steel burrs (rated for 15,000 lbs.) are celebrated for producing cups of balance, clarity, and sweetness, and offer a discernible improvement in quality compared to most other grinders on the market. A 500-watt motor operating at 1650 RPM makes it possible for the K804 Lab grind an impressive 2lbs per minute at 800 microns, and up to about 30 pounds per day, enough for most cafés and more than enough for labs or cupping rooms.

A Perfect Fit
Though robust (weighing in at about 50 pounds) due to its premium metal components, the K804 Lab features an amazingly compact figure—roughly 19 inches in height (including the built-in hopper), 8 inches in width, and 10.25 inches deep. These dimensions paired with its clean lines make the K804 Lab the perfect fit in nearly every application, from crowded mobile cafés to gear-packed coffee bars and even roomy cupping tables.
