Highlighted in Barista Magazine! The ever-elusive Takahiro kettle is the prized trophy of many a proud barista. Crafted with strong stainless steel and shaped to spruce up any kitchen or cafe, it’s occasionally seen in shops but hasn’t been widely available to the common coffee geek. Now, unparalleled precision is available at Prima, in 500- or 900-milliliter options. The Takahiro is famous among manual brewmasters for its unique spout, through which water flows slowly and steadily. It’s the perfect companion for Chemexes, V60s, and the like, allowing baristas to dial in their technique and brew their best. No pouring kettle offers flow control like the Takahiro.

Features:

  • Made in Japan with durable 18-8 stainless steel
  • Thin pouring spout for ultimate control
  • 900- or 500-milliliter capacity (choose from options above)
  • 0.9-liter kettle: 24 cm long, 15.5 cm tall, 12 cm in diameter
  • 0.5-liter kettle: 23 cm long, 13 cm tall, 10.5 cm in diameter
  • For use with any brewing device that requires precise pouring technique

Great control, absolutely beautiful

I bought this water kettle a week ago and I can't believe the beauty and control it has. It truly shines as the top of the line water kettle!

Best Flow Around

I excitedly received the 900ml Takahiro kettle as a gift and couldn't wait to try it out. If you're reading this review, you already know the supposed impeccable flow of this kettle, and I'm happy to say the claims are right. This kettle pours very gently which is exactly what is needed for great pour-over. You can pour as fast or as slow as you'd like with the same forcefulness. The accuracy and ease is unparalleled by other kettles I have tried. The one major gripe I have with this product is the handle. The handle is uninsulated, which means after heating up on your range it will be way too hot to touch. I've had to resort to using heat-resistant gloves when using this kettle. The quality of the product more than makes up for the inconvenience of having to throw on some gloves every morning. The kettle is of the highest quality and well worth the cost. If you care enough about your coffee to even consider buying this, you will no doubt enjoy this product.

Takahiro kettle

Tiny, doesn't fit on my burner. Hot handle. Sputters and shoots water out of spout when boiling. Pretty, but kinds ridiculous.
