Mahlkonig E65T Grind-by-Sync

Grind-by-Sync Tech

The Mahlkonig E65T GbS brings grind-by-time dosing and intelligent machine integration into a compact, high-performance espresso grinder. When paired with compatible La Marzocco espresso machines, its Sync technology enables automated, real-time grind size adjustments to meet target brew recipes, minimizing the need for manual intervention. Ideal for busy cafés, the E65T GbS streamlines workflow while maintaining tight control over quality and consistency during peak service.

Performance

The E65T GbS features a powerful 700-watt motor and 65mm flat steel burrs, delivering grind speeds of 3.5 to 4 grams per second. It's optimized for a duty cycle of roughly 4 seconds on and 26 seconds off, which equates to about two shots per minute. This makes it a great fit as a primary grinder in low to medium volume settings, or as a dedicated option for decaf or single origins in busier cafés. For heavier demands, the E65T GbS can also run continuously for up to 10 minutes without risk of overheating.

Future-Proof Design

Even without using the Sync feature, the GbS model functions just like Mahlkönig’s other grind-by-time grinders, with the added benefit of precise, motorized grind adjustment controlled by a jog dial. If you don’t currently own a compatible La Marzocco machine, we still recommend choosing the GbS over the GbT to future-proof your setup. You’ll have the advanced functionality ready when you need it. Mahlkonig plans to expand Sync compatibility to more machines and platforms, so it’s only a matter of time before those features become useful to you.
